About Me

Hello! If you have made it this far thank you for taking the time! I am first and foremost curious. I am an avid learner who is passionate about using design for good! I want to help people by making small and seamless changes that make their day better whether they know it or not. I have a multidisciplinary design background; first exploring design with my undergraduate degree in Fashion Design from Kent State University.

Since then I have continued to grow and explore other avenues of design to really find my niche. I completed a UX/UI bootcamp with the University of Minnesota. Here I first really learned what User Experience can be. From the bootcamp my excitement for UX and Human Centered Design grew, I started a mentorship with a Senior UX Designer at my then employer Kohl’s Inc. During my mentorship I had a lot of amazing exposure to the homepage team and their work. I even got to help out a little bit.

While at Kohl’s my main gig was as an apparel designer where I designed for brands and markets like Women’s Tek Gear (active apparel) and Men’s Apt 9 (men’s contemporary apparel). In these roles I learned a lot about building community with coworkers and how to manage a high workload. I am eternally grateful for all experiences that have led me to where I am today.

Currently I am completing my Master’s Degree in Information Design and Strategy and Northwestern University. If you have not already please explore the site and check out some of my work! In this program I have learned the ins and outs of visual communication, user research and design, and content strategy. I am eager to bring these skills to a role where I can better the lives of users everyday.

If you’d like to know a little more about me I am from Louisville, Kentucky (however, I am a UK fan). I am passionate about art and design in my personal life. I often mend my clothes and create new life for discarded textiles (check out found and made textile studios). I am currently based in Columbus, Ohio. I would love to connect and create together, please do not hesitate to reach out!

Thanks for following my journey. Let’s connect and create!
